Oatmeal, Milk & Honey Soap Base provides the creamy, conditioning foundation. Oatmeal can help soothe dry-feeling skin, while the milk-and-honey style base gives the bar a richer, less stripping feel than a strongly cleansing soap.

Colloidal oatmeal is one of the strongest ingredients in the formula for dry, sensitive-feeling skin. It can:

• Soothe itching and irritation associated with dryness
• Help support the skin's moisture barrier
• Reduce the tight, uncomfortable feeling that can follow cleansing
• Provide very gentle exfoliation

Honey powder contributes to the moisturizing character of the bar. Honey is a humectant, meaning it helps attract and retain moisture, and it complements the oatmeal particularly well for skin that feels rough or dry.

Turmeric powder provides antioxidant compounds and can help give dull-looking skin a brighter, more even appearance. It also gives the soap a naturally warm golden "honey" appearance. I would keep the amount fairly low so the bar doesn't stain washcloths or leave excessive yellow residue.
